Archivium Hibernicum
was founded to publish source material pertinent to the history of
Catholicism in Ireland. Since then its publication brief has expanded
to include source material relevant to the history of religion in
Ireland and to Irish civilisation generally. It also publishes refereed
articles read at the Catholic Record Society's annual conference held
in May and, exceptionally, other refereed articles.
Two other Irish
historical sources journals complement the work of Archivium
Hibernicum:
Collectanea
Hibernica (founded in 1958), edited by the Franciscan Fathers,
Killiney Co. Dublin
Analecta
Hibernica (founded in 1930), published by the Irish Manuscripts
Commission.
